Where do I even begin with Elevated Eventure? At 50 years old, stepping into the world of podcasting was wildly outside my comfort zone. I had no background in broadcasting, no script memorized, and a healthy dose of nerves—but what I did have was an idea:
At a Southeast Festivals and Events Association board meeting in Chattanooga, I realized our members deserved a spotlight. We’re an organization built on promotion and education, so why not give these unsung heroes a platform to share their stories? Not in a memo or newsletter but in a way that fits how we live today: on the go, in your ears, in your heart.
What started as a last-minute idea turned into Elevated Eventure, a podcast that celebrates the incredible individuals behind festivals, parades, community events, and unforgettable local experiences. These are the people who beg for budgets, pull off miracles, and pour love into their communities. Speaking with them has been inspiring, humbling, and deeply rewarding. I might stumble over my lines, but I never miss the heart of their stories.
